The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The staff regularly came by to offer extra sambar and chutney and even gave us complementary samples to try different dishes. The filter coffee was hands down the best I’ve ever had. They make it live, the person making it was very attentive- asked about sugar vs jaggery and adjusted the strength perfectly. We tried the ghee podi thatte idly, ghee mini podi idly, sambar idly dipped, chinna vengaya sambar sadham, benne masala dosa, and medhu vadai — everything was excellent. The sugarcane juice was delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Great food, amazing ambience, solid flavours, generous benne pouring in dosa was beautiful. The coffee with love to finish was the happy ending.

Some of the items here are insanely tasty! I loved the medu vada, although the Mylapore special dosa did not impress my taste buds. Service was great, seating is adequate and parking is right next to the place. Good to have a quick snack.

Mylapore South Indian Tiffins in the San Jose area is truly a delight! The food is incredibly tasty, authentic, and very affordable, which makes it a place we love visiting again and again. Our absolute favorites are the Mega Tiffin and Super Combo — they are perfectly curated and cover almost every South Indian delicacy in one meal. Every single item was delicious, but the Kesari deserves a special mention — absolutely outstanding! Overall, a wonderful experience with great value for money. Can’t wait to go back again

This is definitely one of the most authentic South Indian restaurants that I have visited in the Bay Area. The ambience is very warm, traditional and up scale. One needs to do booking in advance and still wait for your turn on reaching the place, as the restaurant is crowded even on a weekday. We ordered mini Podi Idlis, Dahi Wada, Medu Wada dipped in Sambhar, Andhra style Beni Masala Dosa, Uttapa and Masala Dosa for the four of us. The service was quick and friendly. Each item was authentic and very tasty with the right texture and flavours. The Podi Idlis could have been softer on the inside though. We rounded off our meal with Filter Coffee which was again top class. All in all it was a lovely culinary experience in a place which could compete with some of the best restaurants in South India!

Had to get in the waitlist, which took about 40 minutes. We just walked around the mall in the mean time. The atmosphere was lively and bustling with pretty cultural music playing the background. There were what seemed like an endless amount of samples being offered to people waiting, with generous portion sizes! My boyfriend and I had no idea what to order so we got recommendations up at the cash register. Out of the three dishes we got, all were good but I really loved the two dishes pictures, melt in your mouth, savory, and really hit the spot. I know they are related somehow to Idly Express in Mountain View, where we had a similarly delicious experience. Will definitely be coming back!

It was my 1st week at Bay area and my friend took me and my family here for an evening treat in the happy hours. The moment I arrived, I felt I was back at Bangalore. The vibe , atmosphere and overall experience seemed local at a global level. Food arrives quickly on the table and taste was amazing. You get free tasking bites while waiting and the chutney , Sambaaar replenishments are free of cost.

Loved the food! Definitely the best South Indian food I’ve had in the Bay Area. I’ll absolutely be returning. The staff is super friendly and warm. Even though there was a long waitlist, they kept serving complimentary upma while we waited, which was such a nice touch :) I really loved the vibe of the place. We ordered the ghee podi dosa, medu vada, filter coffee, and mini idlis. Everything was great except the mini idlis, which were just okay compared to the rest. Overall, totally worth the wait!
